Notice to Coon Valley Residents

Construction Update


  • 300 and 400 blocks of Anderson Street plus the intersection of Anderson & Babcock Street: installing pipes starting Wednesday, 8/3/2022 or Thursday 8/4/2022; depending on weather.

  • Pouring curb on West Second Street starting Thursday, 8/4/2022; depending on weather.

  • Installing sidewalk by Village Hall building Thursday, 8/4/2022; depending on weather.

  • Mathy will be patching on Central Ave and Hiawatha Street by the post office starting next week.

  • Mathy will start shaping the streets for paving on Wednesday, 8/17/2022; depending on weather. They will work from Viking Street then north/south streets and work towards Central Ave. It will be 4-days for the first course of blacktop and 4-days for the second course. The second layer of blacktop will need to cure before being driven on, preferably 24-hours. Mathy works Mondays through Saturdays (if needed).

2021 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)

The Village of Coon Valley's Consumer Confidence Report (annual water quality report) was published in the Vernon County Times on June 22, 2022. A printed copy of the report is posted in the Village Office (205 Anderson St) and is available upon request. The report will not be mailed out. Coon Valley is located in the heart of the Driftless area, an area never touched by glaciers. This unique characteristic has produced a beautiful area of rolling hills and spring fed trout streams. Coon Creek, which is known for its excellent fishing, borders Coon Valley Park and provides a wonderful place to picnic, hike and enjoy time with friends and family.

Coon Valley offers unique shops and wonderful restaurants and numerous places to explore and enjoy! Coon Valley Elementary School is located right in the Village. There are also churches, numerous organizations, a bike trail, and so much to see and do.
