Understanding Your Water and Sewer Bill

Your quarterly water and sewer bill is based on the amount of water used in your household in a three month period.  Water usage is measured through a water meter located in your home.  Most homes contain a 5/8” meter.

On your bill you will notice the following breakdown:

Water Usage is billed as follows:

First 75,000 gallons 2.50 per 1,000 gallons
Next 150.000 gallons 2.16 per 1,000 gallons
Over 225,000 gallons 1.14 per 1,000 gallons

Water Base is a flat rate of $23.86 per quarter.

Sewer Usage is billed $5.69 per 1,000 gallons of water used.

Sewer Base is a flat $17.00 per quarter.

A Late/No Meter Read charge of $10.00 will be added to your bill if you have received a meter card and fail to return it before billing occurs.

Water Penalty and Sewer Penalty amounts will be added to your bill if it is not paid by the Due Date on your bill.

Commercial properties and some residential properties have larger water meters.  The Water Base rate is adjusted for these larger meters as follows:

5/8”    Meter       23.86       2” Meter      73.86

¾”     Meter       23.86       3” Meter      127.29

1”      Meter       31.82       4” Meter      215.93

1 ¼”   Meter       43.18       6” Meter      340.93

1 ½”   Meter       56.82       8” Meter      511.40
